Contract Arborist Climbing
Habitat Arboriculture provides professional contract climbing and technical arborist support to tree companies, contractors and project teams across Hobart and Tasmania.
Led by qualified climbing arborist Jack O'Hare, our contract work is focused on providing reliable climbing capability for technical removals, large trees, difficult access and specialist pruning work.
Experienced Technical Climbing Support
Contract climbing can be particularly useful where an existing crew requires additional climbing capacity or specialist experience for a particular project.
Habitat Arboriculture can assist with:
Large tree removals
Sectional dismantling
Technical rigging
Difficult-access trees
Mature-tree pruning
Deadwood removal
Hazardous or compromised trees
Confined work areas
Specialist habitat work
Additional climbing capacity during busy periods
We are comfortable working as part of an established crew and adapting to the systems, site requirements and work plan of the contracting business.
Technical Tree Removal and Rigging
Complex removals often require considerably more than simply being able to climb a tree.
Understanding rigging forces, tree structure, anchor selection, work positioning, saw use and how individual sections will behave when cut is critical to completing technical removals efficiently and safely.
Habitat Arboriculture specialises in climbing and rigging-based tree work, including trees requiring controlled sectional removal around structures and other targets.
Pruning and Mature Tree Work
Contract climbing is also available for pruning projects where a competent climbing arborist is required to access large or structurally complex crowns.
This can include mature-tree pruning, deadwood removal, canopy management and work requiring careful movement through large spreading crowns.
Our approach is arboriculture-focused rather than simply removing material, with consideration given to tree structure, pruning cuts and the objectives of the work.
Equipment and Professional Capability
Habitat Arboriculture operates with professional climbing, rigging and chainsaw equipment suitable for a wide range of technical tree work.
Work is undertaken using appropriate climbing and rescue systems, and we are accustomed to working within professional arboriculture crews and site safety systems.
Additional equipment and ground support requirements can be discussed before the job.
Contract Climbing Across Hobart and Tasmania
Regular contract climbing is available across Greater Hobart, including Hobart, Clarence, Kingborough and surrounding areas.
Travel can also be arranged for specialist projects elsewhere in Tasmania.
Contract rates depend on the type of work, location, equipment required and project duration.
